There are a couple of reasons why I chose to focus on travel as a topic.
First, I meet people all the time who have a desire to travel the world, but talk about it in a way that suggests they’ll never actually be able to.
So I’d love to be able to help more people experience the places they dream of visiting. Not only do I want to help them achieve that dream to travel, but by helping more people travel I believe we can benefit as a society through the new-gained perspectives travel can give to a person.
Secondly, I want to travel more with my family. While I’ve visited 16 countries in my life, and lived abroad for more than a decade, once I started a family, traveling has been put on the back burner – usually only happening to spend time with family back home for holidays.
So I have a personal goal of learning more about things like travel hacking, extended budget travel, the logistics of traveling with children, and more.
By sharing what I learn here, I’ll not only be able to pursue my own travel goals better, I’ll be able to provide help to those wanting to get out and see the world – even if that just means one place they’ve always dreamed of seeing.
